Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by the Government of Karnataka, Sharada College prioritizes holistic health, natural healing, and yoga. Course

Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS)

The BNYS program offers a 5 ½-year medical degree specializing in Naturopathy and Yoga, with English as the medium of instruction. With an intake capacity of 120 students per year, it provides comprehensive training in holistic healthcare practices.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examinations in science subjects.

Must have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Must have learnt English as a compulsory language.
He/she must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December.
NEET is not mandatory for admissions.

Note: Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination from other than Karnataka PU Board must produce an eligibility certificate issued by RGUHS.

Scope For BNYS Graduate

The BNYS graduates can become a Medical Practitioner, Researcher, Medical Officer or Wellness Consultant in:

Government as well as Private hospitals in India.
Own clinic/organization.
Cruise and Spa.
Natural Cure Centres Abroad.

Course Profile

BNYS-Term I(1½ Year)

Pre-Clinical Subjects.
Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Philosophy of Nature Cure, Principles of Yoga.

BNYS-Term II(1 Year)

Para Clinical Subjects.
Pathology, Micro Biology, Community Medicine, Yoga Philosophy, Colour Therapy and Magneto Therapy, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Basic Pharmacology.

BNYS-Term III(1 Year)

Clinical Subjects.
Manipulative Therapy, Acupuncture and Acupressure, Yoga and Its Application, Nutrition and Medicinal Herbs, Diagnostic – Naturopathy and Conventional Medicine, Psychology and Basic Psychiatry.

BNYS-Term IV(1 Year)

Clinical Subjects.
Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Fasting Therapy and Dietics, Yoga Therapy, Hydrotherapy and Mud Therapy, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, First Aid and Emergency, Clinical Naturopathy, Research Methodology and Recent Advances.

*1 Year of compulsory Rotatory Internship in reputed Yoga and Naturopathy institutions
